TypThe courts are to some degree fueling gender based violence especially the children’s court. How does an abused woman who flees her abusive marriage gets issued with joint custody with her abuser? If the abuser was abusing her and the children, the abuse continues long after she has left the marriage; thereafter we hear of injuries or deaths, all in the name of joint custody.

The abuser refuses to pay maintenance, education or whatever else it is that the court had ordered him to take care of, all while having access to the already fearful and abused family.

Police are also fueling gender based violence. Warrants of arrest are ineffective as the police take bribes not to arrest the abusers. The way the handle abused women at the point of the women reporting is also a sad state of affairs

To some degree; like in other developed countries, divorce matters should be tied to child custody cases to weed out abusers and non complying individuals and reduce abuse.e something here
